3pm. Almost completely dark. Blowing (est) somewhere between 60 and 70 knots . . . Kathy checked the boat ten minutes ago . . . still there, but barely visible through the spray. (She also drove up to the bridge and Silkie is also still there Dave)

This place is becoming fecking uninhabitable in the Winter. Am suffering from climate shock . . .

Silkie and Fairwinds both afloat and unmoved, wind now moderated. Looks like the Solent and S. Coast will cop the next big one, then hopefully it is going to calm down for a bit.

That would be nice. Even well inland here in the Midlands it as been hard going just taking the mutt for a walk. I can cope with windy, or cold, or rain - but it's a bummer when they all come at once!

Actually, I would love to be relishing the conditions you describe, I am with feckless the Dane and it makes Balvicar sound like the BVI's.
