I certainly agree with the subject line but shirley it doesn't apply to the existing denizens of these fora who, as one, remember Nick in their nightly complines. That our prayers for fair winds for Nick were answered by a venerable MAB is not our fault.

As you will see from the screenshot accompanying the post title, it applies specifically to someone called Kelvin - not one of your aliases shurely, shirly??

I'm sorry that you feel you have received little or no gratitude. Let me put on the record that i appreciate the forum, including the offbeat humour (claymore), contrived grumpiness (wully) and poking fun at TOP. I also liked your wee fairwinds bookie. As for the rest of the ungrateful sods . . .

Twas not directed at denizens of this forum, it was specifically aimed at some newly arrived freeloader disatisfied with the main site who sent me a stroppy email because he had failed to read the instructions and consequently couldn't download the free manual he obviously felt entitled to.

That was why I posted the screenshot.

The forum remains, and I am glad you appreciate it. However, BlueMoment in general, for many years the most comprehensive cruising sailor's resource i the UK, has been a huge waste of my time and now lies rotting, a faint echo of its former self.

There's clearly a Side to Kelvin that is not altogether wholesome
Did anyone ever have a Kelvin diesel?
A kelvin is of course a unit of measurement

I wonder which Kelvin we are dealing with here?...

You think that’s bad? I’ve had to drink all my good whisky for fear of it all being drunk by him...

Obvious from the diatribe that it can be only the Kelvin, non other than Kelvin MacKenzie, a direct talking man that says it like he wants to see it.
