I certainly agree with the subject line but shirley it doesn't apply to the existing denizens of these fora who, as one, remember Nick in their nightly complines. That our prayers for fair winds for Nick were answered by a venerable MAB is not our fault.

As you will see from the screenshot accompanying the post title, it applies specifically to someone called Kelvin - not one of your aliases shurely, shirly??

I'm sorry that you feel you have received little or no gratitude. Let me put on the record that i appreciate the forum, including the offbeat humour (claymore), contrived grumpiness (wully) and poking fun at TOP. I also liked your wee fairwinds bookie. As for the rest of the ungrateful sods . . .

Twas not directed at denizens of this forum, it was specifically aimed at some newly arrived freeloader disatisfied with the main site who sent me a stroppy email because he had failed to read the instructions and consequently couldn't download the free manual he obviously felt entitled to.Burst Boiler wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:45 am I'm sorry that you feel you have received little or no gratitude. That was why I posted the screenshot.
The forum remains, and I am glad you appreciate it. However, BlueMoment in general, for many years the most comprehensive cruising sailor's resource i the UK, has been a huge waste of my time and now lies rotting, a faint echo of its former self.

There's clearly a Side to Kelvin that is not altogether wholesome
Did anyone ever have a Kelvin diesel?
A kelvin is of course a unit of measurement
I wonder which Kelvin we are dealing with here?...

I think I read that he was the love child of Mrs Thatcher and Norman Tebbitt after a sherry fuelled conjugation in the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool.
