The Guinness are lovely, the women is cheap and the mackerel throw themselves on board holding a frying pan.
Hopefully we'll get out a bit more this time. If it blows a hooley again for five days like last time and we're holed up on the mooring we'll be sick of the sight of Fanny...

No I don't think so.
The problem in TOP is that there is an element that posts regularly on there who actively pursue a BNP agenda. I have objected to this in the past but the powers that be seem content to accept it.
So what happens of course is that as soon as anyone mentions immigant then immediately the prefix "illegal" appears. Similarly when Muslim appears it somehow gains the suffix " terrorist" or fundamentalist"
Then of course those of us who do not have that political slant rise to the bait, I try not to, but sometimes the (non politically) red mist comes down.
Must say its more peaceful up here, I'm sure I'll pick up a few words of the local language over a period of time.

Don't beat yourself up Dave. With the obvious exception of Claymore, I'm sure most of us have suffered from "post in haste, repent at leisure" syndrome and yes, I have seen a couple of yours that I thought were ill-judged.
We don't seem to suffer so much from it here and I'm sure it's at least in part due to the more measured pace. Thread life in another place is measured in minutes and hours while here it's days and months - years even! Over there if you don't post immediately someone else will make your point or the thread will take a completely new direction; here, you can pick up a thread a week later if you've been pondering on some point or you've been away on the boat.
Or maybe it's because we're all such well-balanced individuals.
