Really handy position converter

Post by Telo »

www.nearby.org.uk/ - takes postcodes, lat/long, OS co-rdinates etc and provides links to several online maps, weather, Geograph, antiquarian etc. Clever.

Most of the links fail for my address. Wrong side of the tracks possibly?
http://trooncruisingclub.org/ 20' - 30' Berths available, Clyde.
Cruising, racing, maintenance facilities. Go take a look, you know you want to.

Duly bookmarked. Could be very handy. I couldn't get a lot of the links to work, but did discover that there's a broch inside the M9, M80, M876 triangle! Who'd have thought it?

Yes, I was a bit surprised to learn that there was one so near. It's even on the OS map!

Haven't checked all the links, but the ones that I did try all seemed to work. A pretty good example of how marvellous the net can be at linking up so much disparate information, and so many images.
