And another thing...........I am not a vindictive or nasty person in real life.... I really will go out of my way to help ANYONE out. I just find this "virtualness" a little infuriating and unreal sometimes. I have been known to state that I have my own speedboat/ company/ Bentley / Ladyslaves etc but this is not in fact rue................ it is my "WEB PERSONA".
Anyway, see you later
Best wishes

Black Pearl is certainly moored in Loch R... or at least she was there last I was on board.Falkirkdan wrote:Is Black Pearl moored in Loch Ridden as I have not seen her there.
Len is/was talkiing about keeping her there for the winter but I havn't spoken to him for a few weeks. Plans might change.
BTW, another Black Pearl is parked on the hard at Msida Creek in Malta as a restaurant. She was famous in the 60's as a former owner was Errol Flynn.
A mine of useless information, me.

Not really a post I am proud of to be honest ... but never say no to a dram!FullCircle wrote:Dear Tripod,
an excellent post that takes real character to pull off.
I worked in Norway for over a year myself, so I know what its like.
At a tad over 5' 6" mysel, I should be delighted to have an eye to eye drink with you next time I am up in the Clyde area.
Some people round here have seen my preferences for a decent whisky, which I usually carry with me, just in case.
Cheers

Which leads me to the subject of ....... Does anyone know of a breathalyser controlled keyboard lock which could lock off my keyboard should I provide a reading "over the prescribed limit"?

Maybe NickB could write a wee script which would require you to solve a puzzle before allowing you access to the Forum!

Or maybe I should buy one of those tiny wee laptops .. then after a few, I wouldn't be able to read the screen or type anyway. (That's another thing - ever tried typing one handed? Not in that way; I mean covering one eye and trying to type at the same time ...)
