I'd never seen the two visitor moorings here before, but there are two good looking moorings with pickups and free wifi (which \i'm using now). Pay for moorings by paypal or credit card using the wifi makes it so easy.
Fantastic weather as far as sun shine goes this easter, but not a lot of wind, and pretty variable directions.
But all good enough to check that all works after the winter layup.
One halyard twisted, two burgee halyards missed off mast, but one short trip up the mast sorted that.
An unresolved problem with depth sounder. Replaced the display during the winter - Autohelm Bidata, and now depth doesn't work. Speed seems OK.
Any clues to this anyone?

I think that I described Carrick Castle VBs in 2011, but can't find that thread.

Re: CARRICK CASTLE, loch goil
I missed that earlier advice about carrick Castle's V moorings.
Last year I anchored there and managed to snag something horrible - old mooring rope or summat, huge mussles made a real mess of the deck, and was blowing onshore with whitecaps - messy.
I read more about various moorings available in "Welcome Anchorages". It wold be a good idea to have a V painted on visitor buoys. Last years escapade was probably beside those same buoys empty, and my assuming they were private.
On the way home passed by RGYC, and, noticing Marisca's hatch open, said 'hello' in passing.

Found some more visitor moorings in that area - Knockderry House Hotel has 5 x 15t moorings for visitors, free for hotel users.
An upmarket place to eat, but that's sometimes an idea!
