Just a quick note about Salen. The new pontoons have space for, I think, nine visiting boats. Water and electricity connected and diesel is available. The toilets are still under construction. The lady at Salen Jetty was very welcoming and helpful.
We'd planned to be ashore for a meal at the hotel. The old leaky conservatory has been replaced with a spanking new frontage which is undergoing the final fitting out. Like the Jetty, the Salen Hotel is very friendly and welcoming. The meal was exceptionally good and at a very reasonable price for the quality. They have a new chef who seems determined to make his name there.
Highly recommended.
