Tradewind Moments

Post by claymore »

When the good Dr Muzzy ceased to be my Working Colleague and took to the road of retirement he went blethering on about Mark Twain - Samuel Langhorn Clements to his dear Mater and Pater.

My Employers are of a mind to allow me to follow the Good Doctor and when you consider the oft quoted Mr Twain's words - “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

I suppose they do make good sense. May as well then..... :D

Gird yer loins, your Lairdship - should you decide to accept this assignment...
You're going to be busy. Busier than you've been for years.
You think retirement is about relaxing and choosing which task to attack first in a leisurely fashion...
Bolleaux mon ami!
I caught a packet in 1998 - sorry, got the package. - Whatever, - and found myself needing to take on a boy as they say.
As for riding the trades, I jalouse your lovely granddaughter may hold the trump card - observe and scrutinise the demeanour of potential (family?) crew, and take note of any reticence.
On the other hand, I have always been an advocate of "get on and do it before bits start falling off your body"
That's why I'm not suggesting you don't grab the brown envelope with both hands - just be aware that it can be a bit disorientating.
