Another Diamond Jubilee event, Monday 4th June

It seems likely that Forth Ports are going to agree to facilitate entry to Leith Docks for yachts and other boats to participate in some sort of event to mark the Royal Jubilee. A sail past the former Royal Yacht.

It could be a busy weekend for boaters on the Forth, up to Stirling on Saturday and Sunday, into Leith on the Monday.

There should be more information on the Leith event in the coming few weeks

Perhaps a republican flotilla could be organised to blockade the entrance? Just in the interests of balance you understand.

As a republican I find my (slight) involvement ironic and amusing, but hopefully it might help raise the profile of boating on the Forth and perhaps lead to some improvement in the currently appalling facilities.

There may be a change of date for this event.

The port have agreed to let the boats in but there is still discussion regarding the date.
