...and cyber-immortality.
Following a line of research (Cliff hasn't posted here since July '09 but still visits from time to time) I was somewhat disturbed to discover that you don't have to dig very deep before you come across someone who is no longer with us but whose pensees and bon mots will resonate in cyberspace for as long as Nick keeps putting 50p pieces into the meter. This is kind of nice in some ways and strangely spooky in others.
I was also slightly discombobulated to find so many threads on which I have added my wisdom without retaining any recollection of ever having done so. Not necessarily a bad thing perhaps.
So what did Cliff post?

He posted that my boat should be advertised as having one careless owner, no doubt he was trying to be facetious, but missed the mark by a considerable mile!

I have to say that if I had been asked to remove a humourous comment like that because you were using a public forum to sell your boat and thought it wasn't funny then I might have been less sympathetic than Laura Nineham.
(Don't do it though Cliff

damn right mate! And I was'nt using YBW to sell my boat. Stingo started a thread asking me to advertise on Desperate Sailors linking to the advert. I responded to that. If you were flogging yer boat I would'nt impugn either your boat or yourself , I was brought up to have better manners than that.
