Re: Pictures
Whilst boats under sail make beautiful pics it isn't always easy to take them, especially if one is actually sailing the damn thing. Even other peoples' boats tend to be too far away, going in the wrong direction or have the sun behind them making a decent composition dificult. I wold be perfectly happy to see the odd boat at anchor (esp sunrise & set) or even the odd anchorage view from land or boat.
Stuff like this for example;

Calendar to go bottom L & icons top L.
Of course boats sailing are nicer, but variety is the spice of life.

Over the last 120 calendars there have been loads of pix that are NOT boats under sail, especially anchored or moored at sunrise, sunset and all times in between - too many, some would say - hence my request.
So - has anyone got any nice pix of yachts under sail?

Re: Pictures
Aye, that's nice - the backstay is a bit annoying, but I can crop it so that is right over to one side. If you can send me the full res version that would be great. I;ve pm-ed you my e-mail adress.stevepick wrote:This one any good? Round mull race 2011, after tobermory start and before wind died. I have it stored at 3648 x 2736 pixels.

Could you reverse it as well to reduce Stomper's bowman's embarrassment?Nick wrote:Aye, that's nice - the backstay is a bit annoying, but I can crop it so that is right over to one side. Nice pic Eamonn, but wrong aspect ratio - unless we get everyone to stand their monitor on its side

Looks like the Big Cumbrae in the background, possibly looking towards Kepple.

Alistair, you're being very cruel to bowmen(persons). It reads the correct way to him on the foredeckmarisca wrote: Could you reverse it as well to reduce Stomper's bowman's embarrassment?

Nothing like as cruel as I was to my own crew after this debacle - right at the end about 13:20. Someone was bound to find it and post it eventually, so I thought I'd bite the bullet!stevepick wrote: Alistair, you're being very cruel to bowmen(persons).
