Fancy a bottle of this for my collection after I have bought a new autohelm unit first though.

Judging from what I know of Erse, would I be wrong thinking that it means something like "Dark Haven" or "Dark House"?

Red Burn or River - often spelt as Abhuinn. Crops up in Scotland and England as the River Avon which is tautological.

At £150 for a half litre, it looks as if I'll need to form a consortium in order to get a sniff of it.

Thanks Donald, I had to learn gealic (Erse) when at primary and secondary but always hated it and never had any interested in it as it took me all my time to get to grips with the English grammer, just about.Shard wrote:Red Burn or River - often spelt as Abhuinn. The only complete bit of gealic I can remember is one prayer.
I remember the gealic word for red is Dearag, similar to Dearg.
Never learned what tautological means
