To whom the years have not been kind. He has accepted my kind invitation to stay for a weekend and go sailing on Windermere.
The Ageing Friend ws always keen on staying in the comparative warmth of Claymore's wheelhouse, playing with the chartplotter and fiddling with the vhf.
The Gem Micro has neither wheelhouse, plotter or radio. Moreover, his considerable bulk may well not make it through the hatch and into the relatively tight confines of the cabin.
Do you think I should charter a cruiser for the weekend or use the opportunity to discuss my ageing friend's increasing tendency to the obese?

You could always see if anyone in the vicinty had any more comodious accommodation to suit your friend. Unfortunately the only person I could think of had already sublet (although I think this may involve transfer of funds, which didn't happen, just keys) available accommodation to their daughter.

We usually use a tender but it's only a short walk if you have the skills, and it is only 6' deep which isn't a problem for some folk.claymore wrote:He says he can walk on water, would this help.....?

We had a tender behind then as well - if I recall!
