Camping Gaz Price Rise

Post by Nick »

While the boat was out of the water this Winter I put in a new gas locker that is just the right size for Camping Gaz but sadly a little too small for Calor. I didn't worry about it as CG is more widely available in Europe - until I went to get the first cylinder of the season and found it had gone up to £12.99 a cylinder !!. This makes it almost exactly twice the price of Calor in £/lb

And as if that wasn't bad enough - the cylinders are usually in a shocking state, never refurbished - and some shops won't take scruffy rusty cylinders back now because apparently CG say they are the dealer's responsibility, and they reserve the right to refuse to accept cylinders back from their dealers if they (CG) aren't happy with their condition!

Is anyone else annoyed about this? Should we make our views known, and if so to whom?
