Racing Improves the Breed - Part II

Post by marisca »

Wow, what a response! 5 people interested and 3 maybes (which includes me and probably Border Maid shamelessly touting for a sail). I don't think I'll be asking Nick for a separate racing forum just yet.

So here's another wee poll for venue and timing. It would also be good to know which boats are likely to be involved, so could you post (or even PM me if you are shy - your secret will be safe with me).

I liked Ken's suggestions of adding cruising tasks like tea-making. It opens up a whole range of possibles like fishing, scone making, scrimshaw etc., to add interest to task of getting from A to B fastest. Your suggestions are encouraged.

I voted for Oban, simply cos Ogun is most likely to still be in that part of the world. I'll happily crew for anyone on Clyde dates if that's the preferred option.

Can't do 11th-12th, I am running a course. The week before would be great.
