Re: Go on then - where is it?
Tell me what I am doing wrong as I can see the pictures I have posted.
I used Picasa, clicked upload then viewed my pictures on the web. Right click and select copy url
New topic in Bluemoment, right click and paste between a couple of URL thingies
What am I missing?

While delicately sidestepping an answer to your question, I wonder whether your link leads back to a picture or gallery that is for private view only - do you need to tweak your profile?claymore wrote:What am I missing?

Strange. I still cannot see the images in Firefox, but. when I used IE, I was pleased to see that I'd guessed correctly re your calorifier.
I've cleared cookies etc, but neither Firefox nor AVG appears to be blocking anything, but just cannot open these pics, at all, at all, at all...

Having been captivated by Ring of Bright Water as a lad, I spent hours just wandering around and imagining all that had gone on there.
Must admit I was slightly hoping that Virginia McKenna might show but she didn't....

Assume you've been ashore at Sandaig, John.

Re: Go on then - where is it?
At least you can get there now. Back in the early 60s (late 50s) the grounds around Sandaig, and access to shore, were denied to all who were not part of his circle. That love child Maxwell actually fired a rifle shot at my grandmother and my family. Personally I've always thought the guy was a total excrement.sahona wrote:Assume you've been ashore at Sandaig, John.

Re: Go on then - where is it?
"Harpoon at a Venture" by Maxwell is also worth a read. I re-read both this summer and enjoy Maxwell's writing, but I suspect that he was a fairly mixed up character, and burned through the family cash quite quickly.
