Doing a power of reading at the moment
Since yesterday I've read Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea, Hiscock's Wandering under Sail and McLintock's West Coast Cruising. Just trying to decide what next.
I really should try to develop a broader range of interests.

One of my sons passed on "Q" by Luther Blissett ( footballers name hijacked by a pair of Italians). Rattling good yarn about Europe in time of Luther and Anabaptists. Lot of political and religious carrying on plus some massacres. Finished that and now halfway through Amulet - bloke restores an old Stella and sails her off up to West Coast. Got a tall pile of volumes to follow on but boat fettling intervenes. I'm looking forward to time when I can lounge in cockpit reading all the Conrads then the Trollopes.

Re: Doing a power of reading at the moment
Neill Gunn delivered yesterday via Amazon. Hope to get five minutes to get it started - but very much doubt it as I'm off to Rothesay tonight and thereafter the Tobermory race! No pressure this year - crewing for someone else. Back via Oban and Kames on Tuesday to pick up Aja then away with Sheena for about a week - maybe Gigha.
Got three weeks up the west coast from mid-August still to come.....
May get the book finished then.....
Regards
Donald
