Midsummer

Post by Nick »

.
Just cycled back from the T&T in the midsummer dim after a very pleasant evening chatting and drinking with Silkie and Mr and Mrs Puddock, who are anchored in Puilladobhrain tonight.

What a week that was six years or so ago when we bought Fairwinds and moved into this house. The two best decisions we ever made.

The reflective nature of the post suggests it was done 'in drink'

Oh? I thought the fact that the post specifically mentioned that we had just come back late from the pub might have given a teensy hint that drink had been taken, without any need for detailed linguistic analysis.

To say nothing of the fact it was posted at midnight.

A fine night indeed and a pleasure to meet the Puddocks who are just starting out on the cruising life. Everything is a wonder and a delight to them and I found their joy highly infectious. The chilli was pretty good too - thanks guys. Mr P is a dab hand wi' a pun' o' mince should you ever find yourself anchored in the vicinity of Rosally.

Mrs P collects a wee souvenir of her visit to Puilladobhrain.

We arrived home about 7pm tonight, feeling thoroughly satisfied with a very pleasant weekend and the chance to meet up with Nick, Kathy and Dave (Silkies Dad as Mrs Puddock refers to you) - you didn't waste much time getting the pic up Dave!
Thanks again guys for a great time.
