Claymore gets craned in.
Looking very much an unfinished project at the moment but hey - at least I'll get to know how Nick and Shard feel.

So she's been out of the water for 18 months and still looks like an unfinished project, what have you been doing at all, at all? If every grandchild is going to cost you so much sailing time you might as well sell her now and buy a wee dinghy.

Silkie - are you suggesting I sell the grand-daughter and buy a dinghy?

Anyway perhaps I'd better define project more closely.
The new autopilot needs to be configured and the new hydraulic steering pipes and pump need to be commissioned - these obviously cannot be done until we are afloat.

The new galley is complete and the pressurised water system all works but I cannot test the calorifier properly until the engine is running - I've had the immersion heater bit going and that works well.

I also need to fit the curtains in the aft fornicatorium.....

The sails are somewhere in my shed as is the dinghy and a whole pile of other stuff. Being a working chap the enemy here is time.
I almost commited marital harikari by suggesting that at least I have all weekend to knock a few jobs off the list. Somehow the great God above reminded me that we have been married 36 years this weekend so in the nick of time I was able to weave that into the plan which sort of upped me in the popularity ratings a little
