When quoting other peoples' posts or parts of posts in your reply could you please refrain from 'quoting' pictures unless it is absolutely necessary? Having several copies of the same picture appear in the same thread just increases page load times and means people have further to scroll down.
Thanks, and apologies for posting it here - but I know very few of you check the Site News thread regularly.

That's fine, Nick. Don't worry about it.Nick wrote:apologies for posting it here
To be honest, I've never noticed any problem with load time (wouldn't digitally identical copies of the same pic file appear simultaneously anyway?). Equally I don't mind scrolling down, but thanks for the thought.
Just one thing, what about the wide pic problem? Really needs to be stamped out imho.

OK, so load time isn't really an issue on most users' systems as the first copy is cached, so it shouldn't need to download again. Does mean a lot more downwards scrolling though and should only really be necessary if the reply is on a new page I would have thought.
ITMT pix should be resized to 700px wide. If you aren't a photoshop wiz there is an excellent free programme called PIXresizer which does what it says on the tin.

I am sure there is a mod that will address the issue, will deal with it after we get Fairwinds launched if someone nags me again.Just one thing, what about the wide pic problem? Really needs to be stamped out imho.
