April 2009 edition of Sailing Today has a number of articles on BlueWater Cruising. In one titled 'Preparation' they talk of Boat Logs and mention blogger.com, sailblogs.com and yotblog.com.

Bit of a bu**er really as YotBlog is running on a very outdated platform and all new signups are cancelled. I could set up YotBlog Mk2 but it would cost me several hundred quid, take me ages and I can't see what my motivation is. (Go on, convince me . . . )

Can I take this opportunity to remind all YotBloggers that I will keep the site going for as long as there are users, but that they should always make sure they have a backup of their site.

Nah. It's not worth it. I'm unlikely ever to add an entry, frinstance.

DaveS may disagree.

You both have accounts on the existing system, and I couldn't migrate your blogs to the new system even if I wanted to.

I have however contacted the publishers of the script to ask how much they would charge to convert it. If they can do it and it is remotely affordable then I may go ahead and ask for donations to support the work.
