Thats an interesting situation regards leaving without paying at Oban marina.
I would sort of agree with leaving if there is no one there to collect the money, and my argument is that if one is running a marina they should not look at it as a 9 to 5 job, ie, there should be someone available until at least 8 or 9pm and it would be fitting to have a night watch person on duty.
I was a bit taken aback at the £25 fee, what size boat was it though? although Nick says the fees have come down since, I hope by a good margin.
Is it true that there are no pubs on Karrera?
And lastly did anyone notice the reg plate on the propeller truck?

Not quite. There's a seasonal alfresco seafood bistro and bar. I've been twice; the food is excellent but it's never been warm (the climate, not the food) while I've been there.
Last season I think it was £10 for a visitor night on a mooring.
