Read Claymore's blog on 2006 Gm's cruise, quite an amusing article, but I am at a loss as to who wrote it.
Who wrote it then?

This guy. Lots of links, but all relate to the same guy. Great wordsmith.Clyde_Wanderer wrote:Read Claymore's blog on 2006 Gm's cruise, quite an amusing article, but I am at a loss as to who wrote it.

Did you find this version of the story, it has the photos.
CC2008 would have made a good story if it had been all tied together as an article, you would need to chase through various threads to get a feel of it. Here is a taster thread.

Re: Claymoreand Chentlemaes cruise06
Thank you for that Ash.
Thats an interesting situation regards leaving without paying at Oban marina.
I would sort of agree with leaving if there is no one there to collect the money, and my argument is that if one is running a marina they should not look at it as a 9 to 5 job, ie, there should be someone available until at least 8 or 9pm and it would be fitting to have a night watch person on duty.
I was a bit taken aback at the £25 fee, what size boat was it though? although Nick says the fees have come down since, I hope by a good margin.
Is it true that there are no pubs on Karrera?
And lastly did anyone notice the reg plate on the propeller truck?
Thanks Ash.

Thanks for that too Silkie, that man has a fantastic way with words, as some Irish writer once said, "A book is only a parcel of meaningless words, until explored in the mind of the reader" I think TCM's parcel would make great exploring.

Not quite. There's a seasonal alfresco seafood bistro and bar. I've been twice; the food is excellent but it's never been warm (the climate, not the food) while I've been there.Clyde_Wanderer wrote: Is it true that there are no pubs on Karrera?

Last season I think it was £10 for a visitor night on a mooring.

Which sounds very reasonable until you realise that you have to bring your own dressing gown.cpedw wrote:Last season I think it was £10 for a visitor night on a mooring.
