Fancy that.
I often think about my old Matchless G12. It had the worst designed head cooling fins ever conceived wot wouldn't let you get a decent socket on the head bolts. The socket had to be ground down to reach the bolts through the fins... which mean it was nigh on impossible to torque the head down properly.
The third time it blew a head gasket I pushed the thing into a hedge and walked away.
If anyone found a black matchie 650 in a hawthorn on the Skegness to Boston road in about 1971 - its mine.
