WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST

SATURDAY:
A ridge of high pressure will be through the country during Saturday. The ridge slowly collapses to the east as fronts push eastwards through Ireland through the afternoon and evening.
A fair day to come for most of the country. Good spells of sunshine, although there may be some morning mist patches inland. Little change through the day with only small amounts of cloud bubbling up.
Cloud will be thickening up through Ireland in the morning, bringing rain from late morning and into the afternoon. Ths steadily turns more persistent with the winds increasing as the fronts moves in. Rain arves in western Scotland by evening as the winds pick up through west Wales and southwest England.
Winds will be W-SW 5-10 (F2-F3) in the morning, becoming S 15-20 (F4-F5) in the far west, then 25 (F6) later through Ireland and western parts of the UK.
SUNDAY:
The occluded front clears eastwards early in the morning as a fresh westerly flow develops through all areas.
Early rain will clear from eastern coasts of England and Scotland o be replaced by brighter conditions. There will be sunny spells for most and it should be dry.
However, there will be some showers affecting western coasts of Wales, Scotland and England as well as Ireland. The showers should be well scattered and most will be light, but an odd one could be heavy.
Winds will be S-SW 15 occ 20 (F4-F5) ahead of the front, becoming WSW 10-15 (F4) behind t, but 15-20kt (F4-F5) on the western coasts.
