Imagine being the first to post on this forum . . .

Anyway, what do you think the prospects are for a better season than last year.

We had some lovely days in April last year, but I was still on the hard getting ready. This year, I've stayed in the water, so as soon as I get the sails back on, I can go.

What's you guys hopes for the weather this year?

I had a pretty good season last year, but only because I fell lucky/chose my weeks.

Easter wasn't bad on Windermere, cool but dry ish.

May/June on the Clyde was fair the first week and cracking the second, the middle W/E was a bit breezy.

I had a fantastic week early August on the Northern Broads too, just after all those floods.

Admittedly the rest of the time was pants, let's hope for fair winds and good vis this year.

Oo, our own weather forum! Aren't we the lucky ones!

We are calling for a 'normal' summer. Not as wet as last year, but certainly settled back into a normal pattern of weather.

It's going to be interesting to see how things develop in the next few months, could be a critical year for climate change predictions.

Well, I hope you can bring some influence to bear on this.

Our period of intensive cruising is usually August and the first half of September; that period, in northern climes, just seems to become worse with each year. Last summer, and the preceding one, we had wet, windy and cold for much of the that time.

Thinking of summer, s'pose we'd better get the EberspÃƒÂ¤cher repaired.

On the other hand, there's nothing else I'd rather be doing, so, what the heck....

we haven't really had a long hot summer since 2005, so perhaps we are due one!
