12kg of zinc
12kg of zinc
There's a heap of old anodes available for collection from the Oban area. I used to think I would recast this as replacement anodes but since I haven't got round to it in 15 years of gathering discarded anodes, I don't expect to be doing it anytime soon. So anyone who has a mind to do that, or any other application for old zinc, is welcome to pick it up. Let me know if you're interested.

Re: 12kg of zinc
I'm glad to hear that there is some else like me. But only 12 kg? Have you really been trying?
I was thinking about taking my 20kg to a scrappy but have never got round to it. When I do I will also take the 40 ft of 1 inch chain, remains of two 50 kg mushrooms and a 30kg Danforth and also a 60 lb dinghy steel centre-plate if i can find it. Also the 30 kg of stainless steel rigging wire and 10 kg of ss fittings!
