Re: SIPR
passed him at Fladda on Saturday lunchtime as he was valiantly beating against the tide
A long race for all participants but lots of sunbathing for sure

Re: SIPR
Another SIPR done - Marisca's 11th. Pleasure, frustration, fog, calm, wind, rowing and overwhelming admiration for our runners Claire and Morag. They look like a strong wind would blow them over, unlike their skipper whose gravitational pull affects tidal flow, but they are phenomenal and came back after every hill smiling. We added a little more challenge for them by assuring they were sent off to run the hills in darkness (didn't want to upset the sailors' circadian rhythms) but they still came back too soon. My sailors, Carrie and Dougie, were also great and I wish I had counted how many hoists and douses we performed - certainly lots.
SIPR is a challenge, quite a few abandoned, and it stretches one's limitations and for me is a reminder that old age should be just a number not a sentence. It is also mentally numbing - we are already talking about next year!

Re: SIPR
Excellent achievement, well done. I can just imagine how hard it is, a fantastic achievement by all who take part.
What's that? Dunno! Should we be worried about that? Dunno! How? Ah dunno!

Re: SIPR
Our first. I can attest to the sunshine, fog, clear nights, some good winds, our runners running also at night. All very exiting. Hats off to the runners, I don't know how they managed it. Good fodder for much reminiscing.
