A Big Bit of Bow

Post by BlowingOldBoots »

Lots of bits of boats being built in sections and then assembled. This is a very big bow from a container ship currently being fabricated. The rest of the bits are all over the yard and when ready will be moved, lifted into a dry dock and welded together. In the dry dock, there are four of these vessels being assembled.

What's that? Dunno! Should we be worried about that? Dunno! How? Ah dunno!

This big bit of stern was built here on the hard. At some point, it was lifted and transported to the ship in the dry dock and tack welded in place. There are four ships in the dry dock being built. The orange bit of crane sticking out the side of the hill is the location of the dry dock.
