New Anchorage

Post by Aja »

Well first time for us. Glenmore Bay on the north side of Loch Sunart. Easy access ashore at (fish farm?) Pontoon. Visit to Ardnamurchan Distillery and a great coffee shop that only opens Mon-Wed.

Antares is helpful but not strictly necessary.

helped by Antares, we used 2 magnificent anchorages last month. Both excellent shelter in spite of force 4/5 winds. Ob na Ba Ruaidhe, L Ewe and Ob Gorm Mor, Upper L Torridon. From the loch, the latter looked to be jammed full of mussel lines but Antares assured us there is room to get past on the east side. Fantastic spot!
Both get a mention in CCC so must be well known to many but I think they are worth a special mention.
