Raymarine are offering a 25% discount on their plotters if you hand in your old plotter which must include the power cable (bizarrely). The 25% saving is on retail price. If, like me, you have a very old plotter, it may be worth consideration if you are thinking of upgrading. I contacted Ardfern who are an authorised agent and they confirmed the offer. I also contact Hudson Marine, I have bought from them in the past, and they also confirmed. Both prices were the same.
Still, lower cost to use a tablet and Navionics.
There is an open source plotter build which is quite easy, almost plug and play these days, lots on youtube, very low cost, about £400 tops once all is bought.
If you have Raymarine peripherals, this may be a reasonable priced option for folks.
