A-frame for raising / lowering mast

Post by DaveS »

FREE to a good home (give a donation to the RNLI).

Wooden A frame with padded, pivotted deck shoes c/w lashing points for securing to toe rail. Allows mast to be raised or lowered single handed under full control and continuous lateral support.

I made this up for my Etap 22 (although it would suit a wide range of boats: almost anything with a tabernacle stepped mast) and it gave me years of faultless service. For the last 10, however, it has been in the garage unused. An incipient house move now makes me look seriously at the garage contents...

So the free offer's available for a week or so exclusively to Bluemoment forumites. After that I'll put it on the YBW boards.

If you want it, you collect (I'm in Cumbernauld, just past the end of the M73). It will just fit into a Volvo estate or similar, else you'll need roof bars, since closed it's about 3.5m long. Delivery might be possible, but after previous bitter experience with time wasters would require convincing negotiation.

PM me if interested, with contact details. I'll be on holiday from 17/8 to 26/8, but will reply on return.
