Feersum Endjinn

.
(Literary reference - anyone get it??)

So... rapidly becoming one of Beta's best customers, in the throes of buying a Beta 16 to replace the terminated 2GM20 formerly in Avy-J

This is going to roughly double the actual cash thrown at the project and is, as they say in the Doric, a sair fecht.

So I was delighted and amazed when a YBW forumite started a thread on Scuttlebutt in my enforced absence encouraging fellow forumites to buy my book as a way of making a small contribution to the endeavour.

I know most of my dwindling audience who post on here and have the required level of literacy will already have read the book. Can I ask youse to take yourselves off to Amazon and leave a decent review, as some (non-sailing) reviewer looking for a knee-trembler has reduced the ratings somewhat with her grudging 3-star effort.

Ta muchly,

Engineless in Cascais

Will do.

Beta are very good indeed speaking as a past very happy customer.
But.

Buy a spare heat exchanger anode. Measure the anode bit then go on eBay and buy a length of anode bar of your size. Buy some Araldite. And a hacksaw. And a drill bit of the correct size to remove the wasted stubs of anode bar. Then make up your own heat exchanger anodes from the spare heat exchanger anode wott you bott ‘Cos they don’t last long.

And if anyone didnae get the thread title, keep reading Iain Banks and/or Iain M Banks until you do..

Good reference and I am sure the gravity of the situation warrants the reference, although they only had to work once.

Left a comment and rating, interesting read.
