Think that should read 'o' fannies. Not 'a' fannies.

And the new boat heater is still sitting here in a box.... anyone know of someone who'll fit a heater in Portsmouth?

. . . and the Amazon receipts for the Christmas month weren't even the minimum required to trigger a payment.
The forum software requires upgrading to a new version again and, you know what, I really don't see why I should bother spending another 30 minutes on this place.

The question becomes, how do your promote the forum to attract the attention of non fannies? Or make the forum more effervescent, currently most comments are cryptic mutterings of old men of little relevance beyond an inner clique of coffin dodgers. Kill that off and replace it with a vibrant and relevant team and you may have something that will promote click through sales.

What pisses me off about the Amazon link is that I am pretty sure the extant bunch of fannies buy their share of stuff from Amazon, but it seems they can't be arsed making one extra click and accessing Amazon via this site.
A minor point though as, tough it would be nice to break even on running the site, I never have so not really worried.
I would like to get some of the guys from Sailing and Cruising Scotland on here to liven it up, but I wouldn't want to tread on Kenny Mcvey's toes.

Trouble is, I try to avoid Amazon on ethical grounds. If I do go there, it's usually the consequence of a Google search (spot the contradiction?). In the excitement of consumerism, I rarely remember to go back to Bluemoment to get there, though I have switched off Adblock on here. Maybe having written about it, I will remember to perform better in future.Nick wrote:.

I don't either. If I could only get something through Amazon I would do without it.wully wrote:I don't buy from Amazon as they are a bunch of Cnuts.
It would really piss me off if buying books through WHS come from Amazon.
