I have made a complete, backup (minus the last couple of posts) and it is working in another folder, so we are not going to lose the forum.

BUT - I am about to attempt to update this version to the new branch of the software,. This is a major revision, stuff may break, and stuff may not look or work the same. If it all goes pear shaped I have the old forum to fall back on.

While this is happening this forum will vanish.

And there we have it - all done. Not so painful was it? We are now running on the latest version of the software, which is going to be kept updated and secure for the forseeable future. (The old version was running out of road)

In time I will get familiar with the new interface and tweak the design, features etc. IN the meantime, give me your usual moans and groans if you find things not working or not to your liking.

I never felt a thing. It does look very different but it's still here and we haven't had much to talk about recently (apart from mods moaning about the spam) so I'm happy.
