A slight departure from the usual photograph this month - it's from a watercolour by Martin Conway, the well known marine artist associated with YachtArt.

I'm not sure how well it works, as paintings are designed to be seen from a little further away than we normally sit from our screens . . . but let me know what you think.

(btw, you may have to enable pop-ups / disable your pop-up blocker to use links in forum posts . . . )

A change is as good as a rest they say but you may be right about it not working as well as a photo on the desktop. It looks great in the thumb in your post but full-screen it looks a bit like an over-magnified crop from a bigger painting.
