Sad to say that the micro-brewery in Tob is now defunct.
Can't see any mention of it on their website (some kind of amateur single page effort
) but IIRC the same applies to the Oyster Bar on Seil.

OB is not defunct, but currently on Winter opening hours. Under new management since last season.
Domain went tits up due to carelessness by owner so now at seilislandpub.co.uk with a single page site done by moi as a courtesy to the new owners.

I was't meaning the bar but the brewery which I was told had been shut down and shipped out. Not true?

Yes true.
Brewery was shipped back to Yorkshire. There's a microbrewery in Oban now though.

Silkie, it's true I'm afraid. Tobermory Terror et al is now made off island, Tommy - my brother-in-law and providor of 'spare' mooring during WHYW etc was the brewer on the island. He's now down to three jobs - distilling whisky, retained firefighter and bouncer on the door at McGochans. He did brew a good pint in his day!
