I've got the remote ( external ) sensor too. Good to hear that your one has lasted 1.5 yrs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it locked onto Frankfurt. Units designed for the UK pick up their signal from Cumbria.

I believe that yet another forumite has recently bought one - I'm expecting a very thorough assessment of the unit. :wink:

Aldi or liddle were also doing an analogue weather station a while back which were similar to the instrument pannel of a Morris minor or Mini with three dials set on a s/t or chrome back plate, they look very nice butI dont know how they performed, must ask my mate who has one in his wee house in Millport.
