Shades of grey

Post by sahona »

There's one of the new type 45s coming upriver at the moment. it looks as if the superstructure is a much lighter colour than the hull, in fact, I thought it was white. (for Arctic/Antarctic patrols?) When he sun came off it, it was very difficult to see (went back to grey again). Spooky - eh?
At the moment it's off Troon and looks like a mis-shapen cruise ship. Great target, sticks out like a sore thumb.

More info on HMS Daring

No 3 son was on board for her first sea trials. He had video taken on his fone whilst they were testing the tracking systems - jets screaming in on low level 'attacks' - must ask if he still has it.

HMS Daring

HMS Daring is back out for more sea trials.

I can see her AIS signature showing that she is at anchor during the evening, but I don't have access to the wunderweb during the day to see what AIS info she displays when underway.
