Looking for help buying an Orkney Dory

Hi all - I hope I'm posting this in the right place but I'm sure Nick will tell me if I'm being bad...

I have a challenge for you - a friend (no, it's not me...) wants to buy, hassle-free, an Orkney Sunsport Dory on a galvanized trailer, with an electric outboard or, less favourably, a 4HP 4 stroke.

Dealers have been less than helpful - he does not want to buy the component parts, he just wants to have it delivered to Central Scotland. Cheque waiting for the right deal.

Any tips? It seems to be impossible to sort this out!
