Can I suggest

Post by jim.r »

That Nick should pay for all the beer and food on the Chentelman's Cruise, cos of all the extra revenue he's earning cos we're all hitting his site now. That would be a supremely good gesture and help build the impression he is ready to have greatness thrust upon him?

Can't wait to hear what the reply from himself is going to be, but somehow I can't imagine the wallet flying open just yet :) .

I'm not going on the cruise but I endorse, jimi's suggestion. Could you please arrange for all spare alcohol to be sent south with the crew for distribution to those that couldn't make it?

Jimi, I thought you had a vague grasp of how the internet worked? How you imagine that a visit from your good self contributes to the Webcraft coffers I can't quite imagine. For those who are keen to do so there is, I seem to remember, still a donation button on the home page of this site, but I wouldn't recommend it as it is almost certainly a scam.

My alternative suggestion would be that myself and Mrs W should be feted and pay for nothing on the CC in return for providing youse all with somewhere to play that is free of Landrover pop-ups and playground bullies.

I agree, this is a much fairer way of doing things.

I don't read it as a refusal but as an acceptance and proactive action by webcam to further enhance the beer kitty .. ye gottae read between the lines ye ken!
