Clipper Race start, Sunday

Post by cpedw »

Does anyone know where the Clippers will start the last leg of their race on Sunday? I've found this:
"21st July, Bid farewell to the Clipper Race!
10.30am - Crew Parade: Watch as the Clipper Race crew are piped down from Station Square to the North Pier for the Race Start preparations.
12pm to 12.30pm - Slipping the Line: Come and cheer on the 11 teams as they slip lines and commence preparations for the Parade of Sail from 12:00 pm to 12.30pm.
1pm, Parade of Sail - From Kerrera Marina across Oban Bay past Dunollie Lighthouse out to Dunstaffnage.
3pm Clipper Race Start: From Dunstaffnage"

Will there be a start line outside Dunstaffnage? Which way are they heading - clockwise or anticlockwise - or is that not specified?

I'm trying to arrange on-the-water viewing for some friends and want to get a reasonable location.

Firth of Lorn lassies! Should have made them sail south via the sound of Jura through the Cuan Sound and Dorus More.

Southerlies until early Tuesday morning. Should be a good sight seeing the yachts all leave.
What's that? Dunno! Should we be worried about that? Dunno! How? Ah dunno!
