It was an Etchells. Caught in stays I guess.


Onlookers reported 'dramatic scenes' as the pair were taken to safety.

What do onlookers know....

a quick glance at any chart or electronic plotter shows the shallow spit

from the videos of the incident, Im always amazed at the number of blue-light agencies that turn up in full combat gear and helmets and hand around like spare parts

The local Coastguard is based in the firestation at Greenock. Half a mile away.

I believe they were sailing out, tacking and carried the tack a tad far. There but for the grace of ...................
