A Pre Easter Sail

Post by BlowingOldBoots »

A very enjoyable week out on the water before easter weekend. A bit of marina day sailing and a jaunt up to Loch Aline and back. A late drive up from the borders to Craobh on Friday 31 March and a bit of a dash to get to Loch Melfort Hotel for last orders at their restaurant. Arrived in time and met one of our our crew, orders placed and fine food was had, before heading to Craobh and boarding for the night.

Cast off on Saturday and headed out for a day sail into the S - SE 2-3, slow sailing down to north of Jura and the Gulf of Corryvreckan, not getting much southerly as the tide was against us, even though it was neaps.

My son was filming bits and bobs for a project, so a lot of faffing about.

Always great to go sailing at the start of the season (or anytime).

Lovely
A word about the Son - if I may?
He may well have spun you the line about a project but the evidence would strongly suggest that he was in fact having a wee kip, looking at the prone body position.....
just saying.
