It has been an interesting 2022, in general terms.
Glad to be somewhat free of the Covid burden, I think many enjoyed their summer sailing. I certainly managed to get more out on the water and while no big sails, I did achieve a lot of smaller sails, so that was fun. My sailing has settled into actual sailing, rather than refit and refurbishment, so I am glad of that as well. As always with life, there has been a few trials and tribulations, they have been managed, so hopefully life will plod on with no excessive drama. Politically, you know from my drivel posting in "Current Affairs" and "Members Only", I am sure we have not seen the worst excesses of poor politics from the UK or Scottish politicians and next year the cost of living crisis may bite hard, but that is next year.
I am seriously thinking of West Highland Week, that could be fun, last participated in the late 80's, white sails for me. I would like to get beyond Mull next year, so will try for that, it's really just a matter of doing it, rather than capability as the boat and I are up to it. I have a quiet confidence that 2023 will be a decent year, but who knows.
Wishing you all good cheer, health and prosperity for 2023. Lang may yer lum reek.
Alastair

Re: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Looking forward to more sailing in 2023, after a year where family health issues dominated.
Round Mull, The Garvellochs and Round Shuna races are on the agenda for 2023 and at a pinch, WHYW
Seasons greetings to all
