Raising The Endurance

Personally I don't see why the vessel should be raised and preserved. In my opinion this is just a vanity project and contributes nothing to maritime history or archeological understanding. The Endeavour is an unremarkable vessel that was crushed by ice. We all know the remarkable part of the story, this is not it.

What do you think, preserve for posterity or desist and decay?

The deepest salvage effort was from 5638m, so it technically is doable, but that was an aircraft, not a rotten wreck. I would imagine that they would bring up stuff first, then the vessel in sections, rather than replicating the fictional "Raise The Titanic".

Pointless waste of time, money and effort.

The same with a lot of historical buildings, take some foaties, post them on line then bulldoze the rotting eye sores..

Some building are worth saving, but not that many.

Youse have failed to realise that now that all of Englandshire is freed from Brussels red tape, any historical artefact that proves how brilliant old Brittania was in the good old days (the ones that never actually existed, but never mind) of us having an empire upon which the sun never set (obtained by invading and violently subjugating the locals) must be properly elevated to the front of the nation's conscience, irrespective of the cost. If you are not onboard with this project, you are clearly treacherous members of the anti-growth coalition.
