Galley of Lorne

Post by wully »

So the Galley has had a make over..
Photos of the bar refurbishment are available on their farce-boak page but any non enthusiastic comments have been deleted..especially if they have been made by locals.

Not so on the Craignish Community page where there is less than luke warm enthusiasm for the tasteless mess they’ve made of the bar..

It was badly run before but now it will be badly run in a frankly crass, tacky...I dunno, bland business district after work swift crap beer in a bottle bar?

Deleted post - I described LOTI thinking I was agreeing with Wully, but Wully's post is about TGOL. That's is bad news as now we have to excrement establishments that used to be good.

There is now a long rant about all the negative comments being described as ‘bullying’ on the community page which they’ve disallowed comments on..They really have no idea how to win friends and influence people.

I might just have to go for a beer to see if it is as tacky in real life as it looks on the pictures - if I haven’t been barred for being a local who doesn’t like the decor.

Ali, normally we have one good pub and one not so good on each side of the hill. Unfortunately we have the worst of both worlds currently.. The LOTI is for sale so I guess they aren’t massively motivated to run a great boozer currently...

We found it perfectly acceptable recently, and were particularly impressed by the young waitress. What's the alleged problem?

Young lady from Aberdeen I believe, just working for the season - great front-of-house attitude an asset to be appreciated, shame she'll be off back home later.
