Sailing book collection for sale at Ardfern Boat Jumble
.
House and both boats too small for paper books, Kindle all the way now for me so my extensive sailing library has to go.
Many classics and hard to find titles.
On sale at Ardfern Boat Jumble on 27th March. Prices will range from £1 for normal sized paperbacks up to £15 for pilots, Scottish Islands or similar titles.
Also a fine collection of random boaty scottish excrement from sheds and attic. All funds raised go to a good cause (the Avy-J fridge project)

“That looks like a ripped out fireplace”
Re: Sailing book collection for sale at Ardfern Boat Jumble
I once had a request from an associate in the middle east to bring over a scud mag, a reasonable and common request for those in the oil and gas well business. For some reason it was important that the pages were the matte, uncoated, paper type - it looks recycled, as opposed to the glossy paper type that produces crisp, clear images. That was the big point, the paper type, not the actual name of the mag. It was difficult to find as by this time in modernisation, all pages were coated, glossy type for good image reproduction. I ended up buying a speciality magazine from an Amsterdam shop, that looked as if it was a low cost production run, something to do with farmers, milkmaids and tractors. Which reminds me, Judge Dread's "Up With the Cock" is a pleasant ditty of double entendres about a hard working farming girl who wakes up with a cockerel crowing every day, it's a funny song that Granny and Granddad would appreciate.

Yeah, crap. A beautiful day and the fiorst one for three years, and no-one there.
I guess people have got used to buying online during the pandemic and real life is fucked now.

Selling on line is real life! Standing outside beside the boot of your car hoping for a walk by sale, is so failed country, economy. Oh, hang on …
