Sleeping in Car overnight near Inverness
Sleeping in Car overnight near Inverness
I booked up to do the Loch Ness Sportive a couple of years ago as part of a family holiday where I was going to sail to Inverness and sail back via the ancestral home land of the IoM , the pandemic happened so the sail did'nt happen but I've still got the booking and its on this sunday. I've got to check in on Sat and the ride kicks off early Sunday so I was going to drive up , book in, sleep overnight in car, do the ride, then go home. Any ideas where to park the car near Inverness where I can kip without being disturbed?

Perhaps you could sleep with Jimi. Amazingly he is doing the very same thing...

Just saying what a great event this was. Managed to do the 66 miles in 3 hours 19 mins so well pleased with that. The A9 and A74 are nightmares at the moment. On the way up I lost 45 mins on the A74 around Glasgow and the A9 was ia real drag! People seem incapable of overtaking slow vehicles, sit behind them and then when dual section appears they pull out and over take at 1.5 mph faster than the vehicle being overtaken!
