Friends - who'd have em?
Went well - out this evening.
Bit stiff and sore.
Having the catheter out was fun.

Glad that's done.
Crutch technique is passable. Going to be 6 weeks before I can drive.
Mainlining paracetomol and codeine
Looks like I'll miss the Lions but there's always next time.
Codeine = no alcohol
Codeine = constipation
Oh joy.😊

Good luck with it! The next twelve weeks or so will be a bit of a scunner

I had to go back in after I got home; I was sitting in the front room when herself noticed a growing puddle of blood under my chair. The wound had become unstitched. So, back in for a repair job. Meanwhile the medication was playing havoc with my guts, and one kinds of loses one's self-respect receiving an enema up one's jacksie, at the same time as having a catheter up the willie....

I think the painkillers are about the worst aspect of the whole business.

Not had a cack since last monday morning.
Amazing that a 30 mg codeine pill- the size of a pinhead,
Can grind my whole cacking system to such a total standstill.
Lemon flavoured movicol and herbal senna is just not cutting it.
Plenty of wind , none of which I dare trust😊
Anyway - its done now so focussed on getting active again.

I've had two done. What makes a huge difference is physio. Go private if you can and aim for more than the handouts you get on discharge show.
It's the glutes mostly; seems they get cut thro and sustained effort needed to get them stretched and strengthened.
Pilates after a while praps.
Hope recovery goes well
